60 minute Sky-High Adventure

  • 60-minute Sky-High Adventure is limited to TWO participants (or you could have the time all to yourself for an extended experience)

90 minute Sky-High Adventure

$350

  • 90-minute Sky-High Adventure is limited to THREE participants (or you could have the time all to yourself for an extended experience)

  • Includes 75 minutes of simulator time and 15 minutes with your instructor for instructions, participants change over and photos.

Christchurch (CHC)

Garden City Adventure

Depart CHC turning out over the City and level into the cruise. Learn to manage the sidestick and settle into your role and enjoy the view of the Garden City. Return to CHC for an approach and automatic landing. You will then be repositioned to the same place on the approach to try and emulate the landing on to the runway.

Christchurch (CHC)

Garden City Adventure

Depart CHC turning out over the City and level into the cruise. Learn to manage the sidestick and settle into your role and enjoy the view of the Garden City. Return to CHC for an approach and automatic landing. You will then be repositioned to the same place on the approach to try and emulate the landing on to the runway.

Auckland (AKL)

City of Sails Adventure

Depart AKL turning out over the City and level into the cruise. Learn to manage the sidestick, settle into your role and enjoy the view of the City of Sails and the Sky Tower. Return to AKL for an approach and automatic landing. You will then be repositioned to the same place on the approach to try and emulate the landing on to the runway. Feeling confident? Challenge yourself to a low visibility landing or a landing at night.

Queenstown Scenic Flight in the mountains

See one the most beautiful regions in the world from the flight deck of an A320. Learn to manage the side stick, settle into your role and enjoy the view. Decide whether you wish to see Glenorchy, Coronet Peak, fly down the Kawarau Gorge and return for a demonstration of a landing in to Queenstown. You will then be repositioned to the same place on the approach to try and emulate the landing on to the runway.

A Windy Affair

Dreaded flying into windy Wellington? Enjoy the best seat in the house as you take off from WLG to the South. Learn to manage the side stick, settle into your role and enjoy the view of downtown Wellington. Return to an approach and automatic landing before you give it a go. Don’t worry, you won’t need a sick bag. If you would like to challenge yourself, and add a few extra knots to the windsock, please email Elizabeth.w@iaanz.co.nz for the special arrangement before making a booking.

Welcome on board the A320 flight deck. Your friendly flight instructor will introduce you to our brand new A320 flight simulator and talk you through basic control movements and emergency procedures.

You will then get seated and buckled in for your chosen Sky-High Adventure to make this one of the most memorable days of your life.

As your instructor talks you through, you will apply full power and take off from your chosen airport. Be prepared to experience the ultimate thrill as you watch your aircraft get airborne. Climb into the blue sky, engage the autopilot and enjoy the scenery outside your window.

Have you ever thought what it was like to land a jet aircraft? You will find out soon, as you follow instructions and configure the aircraft to land. You’d be surprised how capable the aircraft technology is and how smart you are!

WHOW WHOW AND WHOW. What can I say. This was truly a magnificent flight experience in the simulator of an A320 aircraft! I wasn’t really too sure what to expect from the Sky-High Adventure and this totally blew my mind. I would highly recommend doing this even if you aren’t an aviation enthusiast, you will not be disappointed. I’m still smiling 24 hours later and will treasure my experience for years to come!

The Sky-High Adventure was an excellent experience which was well worth the money and time. The instructor was personable and made the experience both fun and interesting by sharing their own knowledge and discussing how the simulator worked. The simulator itself was very realistic and it was easy to forget I was on the ground as I “flew” over the Queenstown mountains. A must-do if you are in Christchurch, although you’ll need a taxi or a hire-car to get here from the airport.

Absolute fun! The A320 Simulator is as real as it gets. The Sky-High Adventure is a must-do activity when in Christchurch. Totally recommended.

Wow what a cool thing to do. I gave this experience to my husband as a birthday present and he cant stop raving about it. So professional and friendly. A great thing that is 10/10
